Several such computers at our disposal for simulation of geotechnical problems. Long-running simulations (not expected to exceed one week for the work described) may utilize machines in one of the computer laboratories at the UCSD Department of Structural Engineering. More powerful computing facilities are available on campus and, in particular, at the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC). Advanced engineering software available for geotechnical-related projects such as Abaqus, GeoStudio 2007 (Temp/W, SEEP/W, VADOSE/W, etc.), Plaxis, FEAP, SAP, among other software developed at the university.
